Autism training provides your attendees with an understanding of the autism spectrum and how it may affect people. Within this one-day course attendees will cover many aspects of autistic thinking, such as social communication, sensory differences, theory of mind and central coherence. Though understanding and the application of person centred processes this course can ensure that positive support is provided to the person. Course aims and learning outcomes:
By the end of the session attendees will be able to;
- Define what Autism and the Autism Spectrum is
- Understand Legislation relating to Autism
- Explain how Autism can affect the person
- Understanding the elements of the triad and dyad of impairments
- Explain ways to understand behaviour
- Understand way to provide positive support planning
Attendees will take part in practical group discussions and exercises that will enhance their learning and understanding of the Autism Spectrum and associated conditions.
