When you attend this course you will develop a more informed and inclusive approach to people who have a learning disability. We will give you an awareness of disability and an understanding of diversity.

By the end of the day you will have gained knowledge of what is learning disabilities, who  it affects, how it is diagnosed and give you an insight into peoples` personal histories.  You will be clear about up to date legislation and equal opportunities information.

This course is more that a basic understanding of learning disabilities. Sometimes labels can signpost you to a fully level of understanding. That is what this course will do for you. By gaining awareness of the defiinition of `learning disabilities` you can make sure that you are supporting and caring for people in a sensitive and holistic manner. This course will give you a clear understanding of how you currently work with people and how you can apply new skills to easily recognise how people learn effectively.
